The "Hill of the Eye," located on the western bank of the [[Anduin]] above the Falls of Rauros. It is the site of an ancient Gondorian watch-tower containing the Seat of Seeing. Amon Hen is famous as the location where [[The Fellowship of the Ring]] was broken. It was here that [[Boromir]] attempted to take the Ring from [[Frodo Baggins]], and where he later died defending [[Merry Brandybuck]] and [[Pippin Took]] from the Uruk-hai. From this hill, Frodo and [[Samwise Gamgee]] departed alone for [[Mordor]].
