Also known as Orodruin or Amon Amarth, this massive volcano in the heart of [[Mordor]] is the only place where [[The One Ring]] can be destroyed. It was here that [[Sauron]] forged the Ring in the [[Second Age]]. The mountain is connected to the Dark Tower by a causeway and contains the Sammath Naur (Chambers of Fire). The destruction of the Ring within its fires ultimately caused the mountain to erupt, signaling the end of the [[Third Age]].
