Also known as Orodruin or Amon Amarth, this massive volcano in the heart of Mordor is the only place where The One Ring can be destroyed. It was here that Sauron forged the Ring in the Second Age. The mountain is connected to the Dark Tower by a causeway and contains the Sammath Naur (Chambers of Fire). The destruction of the Ring within its fires ultimately caused the mountain to erupt, signaling the end of the Third Age.
