The highest hill of the Weather Hills, originally known as Amon Sûl. It once held a great watch-tower that housed one of the Palantíri. During the flight to Rivendell, Frodo Baggins and the other Hobbits were attacked here by the Nazgûl. It was on this hill that the Witch-king of Angmar stabbed Frodo with a Morgul-blade, a wound that would haunt him for the rest of his life in Middle-earth.
