Also known as Aman or Valinor, this realm lies far to the West, across the Great Sea. It is the home of the Valar and the High Elves. Following the Downfall of Númenor, it was removed from the physical circles of the world, reachable only by Elven ships following the "Straight Road." At the end of the Third Age, Frodo Baggins, Bilbo Baggins, and Gandalf the Grey were permitted to sail there to find healing and peace.
