One of the three Elven Rings of Power, also known as the "Ring of Fire" or the "Red Ring." It was forged by Celebrimbor in the Second Age and originally given to Círdan the Shipwright. Unlike The One Ring, which was made to dominate, Narya had the power to kindle hope in the hearts of others and resist the weariness of time. Círdan eventually gave the ring to Gandalf the Grey upon his arrival in Middle-earth, recognizing his noble spirit.
