Bag End

Bag End is a luxurious "smial" (Hobbit-hole) located at the end of Bagshot Row in Hobbiton, within The Shire. Built by Bungo Baggins, it became the home of Bilbo Baggins and later Frodo Baggins. It is famous for its iconic round green door and its extensive library and pantry. Bag End served as the starting point for two of the most significant journeys in history: the Quest of Erebor and the Quest of the Ring. Its name eventually became synonymous with the Baggins family legacy and the unexpected adventures of Hobbit-kind.
